It is always a wonderful compliment when a favorite El's Cards client contacts me about their wedding plans! In this case, it was Ann, the Mother of the Bride, who reached out to me last spring.  To be thought of for these special occasions is by far the best news I can receive!  

Ann and I sat down and talked about the invitations last April. Chandler, the beautiful bride, was living in New York at the time, and it was moving day for her. We did do a little face time  with Chandler surrounded by boxes! :)  The wedding was to be held on the family property on the river in picturesque York, Maine.  Then the reception was to be held at the York Golf and Tennis Club right down the road.

The invitation was to be the view of the river from the house (the view from where the wedding ceremony would be).  Ginger jars would be part of the wedding decor with focus on soft pink, white florals, and greenery.  Years ago, Ann had purchased the York, Maine map for Chandler and we talked about incorporating that existing map into the artwork of the invitation.  

It was important for Chandler's Dad's boat to be included in the wedding stationery, so that was one of our paintings as well.  We used that boat painting on the custom stamp, rehearsal dinner invitation, the program, and on the seating chart.

When it came time to talk about the wedding day paper goods, Chandler had a special request!  She asked me to create a monogram crest to use on the menus and several other details. I had been wanting to do such a project for awhile and really enjoyed this part of our project. I incorporated hydrangeas in white, blue, and a soft green into the crest.  We ended up using this on menus, napkins, matches, and it was at the head of the custom seating chart too.  Then after the wedding, we printed thank you note cards with the crest at the top.

We did so many unique wedding day items for this lovely family....ceremony programs with the river scene on the front and Chandler's Dad's boat on the back, place cards for the head table, table numbers featuring the York, Maine map, signage, menus, napkins, matches, and of course, the seating chart.

Through the whole process, I so enjoyed working with Chandler. We didn't get to meet before the wedding but did everything over the phone and email.  On Christmas Eve day, Chandler, Darren, and Jared, Chandler's Dad, were passing through Greenland, and we were finally able to meet and visit a bit!  Bob showed everyone his work space and it was so great to meet this lovely couple in person.  Ann had gone home to Boston to get ready for Christmas, but I am sure our paths will cross again! :)

Thank you so much Chandler and Ann for thinking of me for this most special of days.  This wedding was stunning and Bob and I were honored to be a part of the celebration!!
