I was so happy to hear from one of our brides last year, to tell me that her wedding had been featured on the Love my Dress blog!  And Hanna's dress was truly beautiful!  What a great honor and fun article! Thank you so much for sharing, Hanna! And for your kind words about El's Cards.

Hanna reached out to me about creating an invitation for her wedding day on Shelter Island.  We went back and forth about the design...she was fond of all the shell options.  The final decision was for our Mussel Shell suite!  Hanna and Reid opted for hand calligraphy on the envelope and a custom buoys stamp.  The hand calligraphy was such a special touch, and the mussel shell on the bottom of the envelope added an additional pop of color.  The envelope liner was also a surprise for the guests as they opened the envelope!

For the wedding day, Hanna reached out to me again for some special "day of" items, featuring the favorite mussel shell design for all pieces.  We did a 2 sided ceremony program. This has really become our most popular type of program.  Couples can fit plenty of information on it and it is a nice, simple, flat card.  Of course we had 3 mussel shells at the bottom to stay with the mollusk theme!

For the reception, Hanna and Reid had me create menu cards to be placed at each guest's seat at the reception table.  The couple chose long tables for the reception banquet.  And when the guests first entered into the reception area, they found where they were sitting by referring to the Mussel Shell Seating Chart.  Hanna selected the barn wood frame for this beautiful piece that the couple can enjoy for years to come.

  The year has gone by so quickly, and I have been meaning to email you after the wedding in July to emphatically THANK YOU for all of you guidance, support and creativity.  From the invitations to the programs and menus, your stationery helped shape the vibe of our day.  It has left both Reid and I with a special place in our hearts forever for mussel shells!
