Camp Wedding with Fun Floral Details
Erica was truly a delight from the beginning! I loved her enthusiasm and positive attitude, and was thrilled when she mentioned her love of bright colors! The Save the Date was created from a rendering I had done of the property a few years before. We used the tent on the calendar style save the date to get the guests excited about the wedding weekend. Everyone loves artwork on the envelope because it is like receiving a gift in the mail. So of course we included this too!
When it was time for the invitation, the couple wanted to include a packing list for their guests. This fun item is always a great addition to the invitation suite, that really adds some fun personality. The list told the guests what was included in the cabin, and what they needed to bring. All with little illustrated icons! We even included a "warning-high heels" sign because of the potentially damp grounds. The invitation motif was our classic camp style invitation, but with the bride's custom touches. She selected a pink and red rose design for the artwork on the envelope, envelope liner, and the reply card artwork. The reply card had little illustrations for each day of events, so they could keep track of who would be there each day for the cookout on Friday, wedding on Saturday, and the pancake breakfast on Sunday. I loved Erica's request for flowers in the suite! This is a perfect example of someone who selected existing designs, to create a totally custom invitation.
We did place cards for the head table, featuring the same vase of flowers that was included in the suite. This is a nice idea to include because it is a special touch for family members and close friends.
My favorite part was, of course, the seating chart! The guests were listed in calligraphy at their assigned seats. Then, the painting began! We put the venue at the top of the page, and all around the border were Erica and Tony's favorite things and activities...from the beach to antiquing, and drive in movies! All of the table number headings had their wedding elements, like cotton candy, their beloved pets, flamingos, paper lanterns, pancakes, and so many others! She sent me a list of the flowers that would be used and especially requested peonies be a part of the chart. Take a peek at the large version below the gallery! This is a keepsake that the couple still enjoys every day. It's truly so personal.
Thank you so much Erica and Tony for letting me be a part of your wedding day! Your seating chart was without a doubt one of my very favorites to create. I loved how this one all came together!
