Squam Lake to Prouts Neck Beauty
Ah....the year 2020! So many memories! And many of them are actually good. The state of the world allowed me to become much better acquainted with out wedding couples who needed to postpone the big day. Taylor and Bradley were one of those special couples.
I originally met Taylor when working with her sister, Carter, in 2019. It's a wonderful compliment when family members recommend us for wedding invitations and other special occasions. Little did we know, when Taylor, her mom, and I sat down in early 2020, what was on the near horizon!
We ended up working together on so many different items-with a blueberry invitation for the smaller 2020 wedding ceremony and reception, and a mussel shell invitation for the larger celebration in 2021.
Using a few different artwork themes throughout the process made this wedding unique. Couples will ask me if it is possible to use many different designs on the wedding stationery, and my answer is an enthusiastic "YES!" Even with different artwork throughout, it will be a cohesive look because everything was created here at El's Cards. And don't worry...if you ask for some combination that really won't work-I will tell you!
Here are a few of my favorite features from Taylor and Bradley's wedding festivities in 2021.
-We used an oyster theme "Aw Shucks" postponement announcement in 2020, and notified guests with "Let's get Crackin'" (loved Taylor's verbiage on this!) lobster theme announcements in 2021! Perfect for their coastal Maine wedding.
-The mussel shell invitation had some special pieces added and a focus on navy vs. aubergine.
-Ceremony programs with the wedding church painted on the front-softened with a ribbon tied on the side
-Custom reception table menus with food illustrations brought some great color and personality! Place settings were topped with a sand dollar with each guest's name in hand calligraphy at their seat.
-Salty Air style welcome sign and Mussel shell seating chart
-Table numbers featuring our Prouts Neck map fading softly in the background. These table numbers can be done with any of our existing maps.
Just recently, Bob and I saw Taylor, her awesome mom, Laura, and her sweet daughter Eleanor at a craft show! They came especially to see us and it made my day! I'm so lucky to be able to get to know my clients so well that they become friends. Thank you for letting us be part of the celebration, Taylor and Bradley!
xoxo
