Hi friends!! Just a quick blog check in to say Hello and bring you up to speed on what's going on here at El's Cards. We've been radio silent with good reason!
When Bob and I started working together full time in 2015, we decided that a new website was a must for the future of El's Cards. And having this site made for us was truly a wonderful decision. We always get compliments on how easy our website is to use.
That said, we thought it was time for a little updating to our weddings section! So, we hired a fabulous product photographer, Jenn Bakos, to redo all our wedding suite photos for the Wedding Invitations section. Jenn and I worked together (with 2 other little "helpers") for 4 super full days. Updates to those wedding invitations pages coming soon...I'll definitely keep you posted. Even if you don't need invitations-the photos are nothing short of spectacular!
Meanwhile, Bob has been working on doing the image layouts for 15 new wedding photo galleries together from 2020 (yes...I got a little behind....) through 2023. And now we are in the process of showcasing these beautiful weddings every week.
On Valentine's Day, we featured Kellie and Lucas from November 2020--at long last! Their stunning Kennebunkport wedding was photographed by Brea McDonald.
Now this week you can see Liz and Trevor's super colorful Vermont wedding from last summer-- featuring their hand painted crest among other custom details. Beautiful photos above by Jenna Brisson.
Speaking of crests--we are happy to announce that we have our custom wedding crests page up! Last year was truly the year of the wedding crest. Each was so different and unique, and totally personalized for our couples. Currently, we are only doing these crests for weddings (because they take so much time to design and paint) but I hope that someday in the future we will be adding them to our personal stationery designs.
So moving on from wedding news-as soon as we get the wedding categories on the website updated-it's time for NEW card designs for spring and beyond! I'm also excited about a new calendar design I have for this year...plus new maps...and more! NEW Beloved Bookshelf designs-coffee cup, baseball, children's books....can't wait!
I wish I could tell you Bob and I had taken the winter off to go and sit on a tropical beach somewhere, but we are hard at work over here....behind the scenes. Last February Bob took the month and remodeled our kitchen. It's a different kind of remodel this year ;)
