She took my request to have our dog on the save the date and really nailed it, to the point people were reaching out to ask if that was an actual photo of Bruno, it was amazing! El was so easy to work with, and took every little small detail I wanted to tweak and would send the new draft so quickly, and it was so easy to mix and match from all of her beautiful suites to make ours unique to us!
I love all of her work and continue to order various cards from her, and each time she takes a moment to write a little note accompanying my order, which shows how much she cares about each of her couples that she works with! I couldn't recommend working with her and Bob enough, they are truly a pleasure to know!"
After all the postponements and changes to our 2020 wedding schedule, it was refreshing to hear from Ashley about the plans she had for her 2021 wedding! We started with a custom painting of the couple's beloved boxer, Bruno, for the save the date, and worked right through together for all the wedding day items as well.
Bruno was fun to paint! Ashley sent me a few photos and I first worked on the image of the pup, and then we worked on colors and adding the adirondack chairs to the save the date design. Whenever I create any custom element for one of our couples, I always encourage them to use it on as many items as we can. And this was no exception! Bruno was featured at the wedding reception on the napkins and the take home goodie bags (aptly entitled "Doggie Bag").
For the invitation, the couple was the first to select our new Eucalyptus Wedding Invitation suite. We carried the eucalyptus design right through to the wedding day items like table numbers and escort cards. I loved the creative escort card display with succulents for each guest-assigning their seat on the attached escort card. It's fun to combine a favor for your guests with the seating assignments. And it makes for a beautiful table display. To add to the plant theme, we did a favor sign with succulent paintings.
All of the signage was framed in the popular barn wood style. For a seaside wedding, this frame always reminds me of driftwood, and it is a favorite with our wedding couples and our map customers alike. Instead of a guest book, Ashley and Dave opted to use our map of Kennebunkport with their names and date added. We put it in an archival mat for the guests to sign and remind the couple of their wedding day every time they see it!
